Sohum Sutras

This is a saree which is about 24 years old. In fact, I wore it after 20 years. My interest in my sarees is being revived and the ones which are lying are getting to see some daylight. I was thinking that it has been 5-6 years since I bought a new saree. Earlier I used to buy at least 1 every month. I had collected hundreds of them. Then few got converted to suits, many were given away. Quite a few are still with me.  This saree, at that time, had cost about Rs.350/-. It is thin and weighs nothing. It gives the feel of Chanderi but is in fact, simple cotton. I wore it with a net top and not a traditional blouse. 

This is  friendship . 3 of us know each other for over 35 years. Here is a picture of us - first one when we were in college and the second one was taken today. Time has passed and the bonds have become stronger. We can spend a full day with each other chatting and laughing.

Visiting Mommyland and catching up with a childhood friend is so refreshing. Totally getting recharged.  With my college friend. See our pictures here , here and here before. Another trip but same outfit.
