Special moments

Image
This is how we partied at a common Tango friend's Birthday. We danced away to glory. And I loved every moment.  With the birthday girl. And the cake was of shoe. The birthday girl had actually wanted Tango shoe. But this was the closest she got.

Surpassing the gender bias

The first time a girl asked me for a dance, in Argentina, I was shy and I declined. I regretted it later because she was such a fabulous leader. Then, after my training with Daniel, I learnt to lead and to teach how to lead. And now, I value the girls who can lead so well and men who can follow. On my Birthday, I was enjoying being led by a fabulous leader (female) so much. I have started to enjoy leading. When girls are sitting in a milonga, waiting to be asked for a dance, because of dearth of good leaders, it is better to get up and ask them for a dance.

One dress worn in so many different ways

Image
Sometimes (read: always), I have a super busy day. The schedule is hectic and I have to be appropriately dressed at different places. Yesterday, was one such day. I knew, I would be out almost the whole day, playing different roles, multi tasking, meeting different people and would have no time to change in between or carry too many different clothes with me. At times like these, I have special dresses that can be worn differently and change the look completely. This is what I wore. It is a multi utility dress that I bought in Singapore. Look 1. Look 2. Look 3. Look 4. Look 5. Look 6. Look 7. Look 8.

Milonga de mis amores

Image
I host a weekly milonga. These pictures are from last night milonga.  Of course, I wore my latest Birthday gift, about which I have mentioned here.  I am so happy with my Tango T shirts. And I have a wardrobe full of them. Here are tangueros who regularly come for weekly milonga that I host in New Delhi. You can see the details of the milonga here. Here, I must mention- In New Delhi, we do not have many options to go out and chill in the evening. If you want to go out with friends, with your partner, etc, your only options are- go out to eat (and gain weight in the process), go for a movie, or go to useless parties and do soul less dance. When you go clubbing, do you really ENJOY? I do not see anyone enjoying. People want to dance but they do not know how to dance. There is some thumping music playing, the club wants you to get drunk and just bang your head, or move your shoulders on some Bollywood or Punjabi music. You come back feeling empty, hollow and frus...
