Dance forms.

I was doing my research about various dance forms and was amazed. In this post, I would not take Indian classical dance forms. Because that would take another full post. Right now few Latin American Dances and with some of their videos that I found online. They are all so interesting. Worth watching.

Bolero

Carimbo

Conga

Cueca

Cumbia

Joropo

Lambada

Macarena

Mambo

Merengue

Rueda

Salsa

The post will continue and in the next, there would be videos for the following

SAMBA
rumba
PASO DOBLE
waltz
tango
jive
cha cha cha
jitterburg
swing
zouk
bachata
lindy hop
Black Bottom
Foxtrot
rock and roll
disco
ballroom
ballet
twist
break dance
jazz
flamenco

Do you know of more styles? share them with me. Share a video link too if you have.
Which one is your favorite?
Which one have you learnt or intend to learn or love watching?

  1. Kiran,

I am very sad for what is going on in Mumbai. No, more than that I am perturbed how our esteemed leaders behave. Why can they not get over their petty minded hunger for power and put their efforts together to find steps which make any further intrussion by terrorists extremely difficult? It is possible to do so.

Thanks for enlightening us on so many forms of latin dances. Could not see all the videos. Will do so soon.

Leave Saarthi and Siddharath alone. Do not crowd on their space. From the looks in photos I feel they both are well balanced and know what needs to be done. Just tell them once, no repetetions, please. I did the same with both our children ( girl & boy ) and they have not let us down. Both are married and we have 2 grandchildren ( girl 7 yrs & boy 2 yrs ) from her side and 11 month old granddaughter from his side. Let them grow at their pace. Hope Saarthi excels in Basket Ball. Soccer too is nice. What about Siddharth? Please give my love to them.

    Take care

    PS : OMG, long comment.

  3. As much as I love to dance I am not as familiar with the different styles as I'd like to be, so this is a great post for me. Thanks Kiran!

I love the video of you dancing. You're good!!!

I went to bed late (it was Thanksgiving) so I just got up, and I am going to check the news on Mumbai now - a bit nervous, hope there are no more casualties.

    Peace.
