I saw this on a wall of a restaurant in Delhi. I will post a detailed review of the restaurant soon. Notice that the style of their turban is also significantly different.

Hi There!

Fear of failure remains one of the biggest roadblock to success. Anything you see as an accomplishment, remains elusive to you, thanks to a little hesitation, a little holding back on your part. It affects our career and relationships, and we are unable to take that one step that would make all the difference. Constant high expectations, from ourselves, from others make us believe that it’s too much work. Our energy is sapped by trying to get that relationship to work or that business on track. And we give up.

But I feel the bigger culprit is our EGO. We are judgemental and constantly comparing ourselves with others. We have high expectations whereas we ourselves lack sincerity. Deep down we are aware of all this. There is a lacking in our own efforts. This holding back at a crucial juncture, when a decision could change the entire scenario, is actually the feeling of lack of sincerity. When you know you haven’t done enough, or worked harder. The fear of failure suddenly seeps in.

Friends, make a small change in yourselves today. Accept you have an ego that is working against you. You can turn all that around by this change. I called it a small change, but it is huge. And there is no way we can kill our ego. It is there for our rise as well as downfall. But when it gets too negative, it is better to recognise it and tame it.

How to wake up looking fresh and radiating?

When you wake up in the morning, do you look fresh like a morning dew drop or do you look haggard, with your hair all over the place, dark circles under eyes, face oily, fingers swollen due to water retention, mouth with bad breath? Do you know, there are ways that will help you glow and wake up very fresh and beautiful? Here, we are not recommending that you sleep with makeup, jewels and sari on like in Hindi soaps. We are about to give you tips that will help you wake up and look mesmerizingly beautiful.

1. Before sleeping, remove all your makeup and jewels carefully. Make sure you have no traces of makeup. Apply a nice moisturizer not only on your face but hands, legs, feet and body. Also apply a dash of your favorite perfume. Apply nice overnight creams, serums or anti aging creams before dozing off.
2. Make sure to brush your teeth before going to bed. Use a waterpik or a floss. This will make sure that you do not have a bad breath when you wake up.
3. Sleep well. This means that get enough sleep. Do not sleep too late with your mobile next to you that you keep checking in between, at midnight. If you get proper sleep, you will not have dark circles when you wake up.
4. Keep cold ice bag on your eyes or slices of cucumber on your eyes for 10 minutes before you retire.
5. Draw your heavy curtains before you sleep. Try not to watch TV before sleeping. Rather listen to soothing and relaxing music.
6. Sleep on nice silk bed sheets. Invest in beautiful soft laces, satin and silks to sleep on. Feel like a princess in your bedroom. Sleeping on rough bed sheets, can irritate your skin and can give you rashes and wrinkles.
7. It is a good practice to remove the bed covers which are put during the day and sleep on clean and soft bed sheets.
8. The bed sheets and pillow covers should not only be beautiful but clean and hygienic. They should be changed often.
9. Make sure your bed, mattress, sheets and pillows are very comfortable.
10. Different people have different habits of sleeping. Some prefer to sleep on their back, some on their stomach and some lie on their side. Sleep in a position that gives you maximum comfort. There is no hard and fast rule about position of sleeping.

Should you worry about Gluten?

You may have been worrying about gluten for some time now. These days gluten is often mentioned in magazines and conversations with concerned friends who associate it with weight gain. It’s time to give it a serious thought.
What is gluten?
Gluten is a protein found in some food grains and additives that give it elasticity and chewiness. Some common foods we eat having gluten are breads, baked foods, beer, pasta, cereals, sauces, malt vinegar, sauces and salad dressings.
Is gluten harmful?
Many of us may be gluten intolerant, and not even know about it. Gluten is responsible for an autoimmune disorder called celiac disease. This leads to various digestive issues, anemia, fatigue, failure to thrive as well as an increased risk of many serious diseases. It is believed that celiac disease, which is common in the elderly, afflicts about 1 percent of the population. But the disease is rapidly increasing, and that is the reason for concern because the diagnosis is difficult and many patients don’t even know they have it.
Does gluten lead to weight gain?
There is no substantive evidence to this. But if you do want to go gluten-free stay away from refined carbs too. Gluten may not just be the reason for your weight gain.
Should you remove gluten from your diet?
Try to understand first if you are gluten- intolerant. Remove it completely from your diet for a month and see if some of the symptoms associated with celiac disease and associated disorders like irritable bowel syndrome have reduced. Choose natural gluten-free grains like millet, buckwheat and fruits, vegetables, brown rice, seeds and nuts, along with meat, fish, eggs, and milk products for a healthier lifestyle.
Even if you don’t have the intolerance, try to gradually reduce the intake of gluten. It will definitely make a huge difference.

How to get full night's sleep and rest in 20 minutes

We lead a stressful and busy lifestyle. It is survival of he fittest. We develop strategies to beat the daily stresses. Sometimes it is meditation, sometimes chanting, deep breathing, etc. What we seek is peace and tranquility- peaceful mind, body and soul.
Here is a tip that will help you completely relax and rejuvenate. In 20 minute, you can be as refreshed as if you got full night's sleep. This Yoga mudra is called Viparita Karani mudra. It is legs up on the wall. You can place a small pillow under your lower back. Light up a nice fragrance of your choice. Indulge in some aroma therapy. Close your eyes, deep breathe and let relaxation penetrate in each cell of your body. Take your's mind's eye to each part of the body and let it relax completely. Lie down in this pose till you actually feel the body, heart and mind relaxed. There should be no tension neither in mind nor the body. The mind should stop wandering.
Viparita Karani mudra is a soothing posture. It restores you. It is an inverted posture. Hence, the blood flow is anti gravity. Also the blood flow is towards the head, the brain. If you are very fatigued, doing this helps to calm the nervous system. It is antidote to anxiety, depression and stress.
You lie down peacefully and enter an introspective realm. You are able to go deeper within and connect with yourself. When you get up, observe within yourself. You will feel softer, calmer and would have more gratitude. You will be centered and grounded.
