Breast Cancer awareness and prevention

October is just over. It is breast cancer awareness month. Cases of breast cancer are increasing day by day. If it is not detected early, it proves to be fatal. The need of the hour is to be aware as to how we can bring changes in our daily lifestyle and reduce the risk.
Here are few things that you should know about breast cancer.
Stay active, healthy and fit. Women after menopause are more at risk. Women who are overweight or obese have more chances of having breast cancer. Exercise regularly and build your immune system.
Eat healthy and eat right. Foods that are rich in antioxidants like berries, fruits, avocado, nuts, etc, help to boost your immunity levels and hence prevent breast cancer. Getting your regular check ups is important for every woman. Detecting symptoms and early cure is beneficial. If you feel any lump in your breast, do get it checked. If you have a family history of breast cancer, it is even more important. Woman who breast feed their babies are less at risk of breast cancer. Abstain from alcohol and smoking. These increase the risk for break cancer.
