We had a special screening of the movie, "Tango" at Instituto Cervantes. It was more special because the director of the movie, Carlos Saura was in town and had also visited Cervantes. He is also working on another dance movie project. The movie was followed by a milonga and a lot of food. Special thanks to Cervantes for organizing this. The star of the evening was my friend who stole the show both as a leader and follower. She made the followers look so good.

Today my friend described me so well. I have written thousands of blog posts. I have myself not been able to describe myself so well as my friend did today. No body and I repeat no body, has known or described me ever, so well. She said, "You are exactly like a porcupine. Small, discreet, very quietly doing her work. But the minute somebody pokes you in the wrong way, you take out your bristles to save yourself. You are very cute, you are very humble and adorable as long as nobody rubs you off the wrong way".  And yes, this is exactly who I am or who I want to be. Do I want to change? No. Not at all. This description so aptly describes me. People around me have seen me in different lights- sensitive, touchy, intimidating, some called me down to earth, some thought I am a snob. But the real me was described to me by my friend today. 

Cavalli Cafe has opened in Emporio mall. I must say it is a very nice place. Fabulous ambience, very nicely done, good food, surprisingly very reasonably priced and a place meant for an enjoyable experience. I went there today.

My friend has the most beautiful decorations in her house for Christmas. Big Christmas tree and all. I went to see all the decorations and saw this beautiful headgear from her troupe's costumes. I had to try it and get a few crazy pictures clicked with her Christmas decorations and the headgear. As you can see, I was going a little crazy. A big Christmas bash is around the corner and I am so looking forward to it.

One accessory which is very functional, practical, diverse and beautiful is a scarf. It can uplift any garment, that might be most basic. You need no other accessory, you can wear it in many different ways and styles. It keeps you warm and definitely makes you stand out. My suggestion- enhance your most basic outfit with a nice scarf or a stole. A scarf can make you look chic and classy. Amongst very pretty and expensive outfits, accessories like sunglasses etc and lots of make up, I guess, just adding a scarf on the most basic outfit, sans any make up, still works and makes you stand out. My recommendation- try the look.

We all go through different phases in life. We all have different moods. Of late, I have been in a different world and zone. More within myself and my work. Which is the reason, the blog posts were not as many as last year. This year the blog posts were primarily about Tango and Milonga. Very few were dedicated fashion posts. The coming year looks different. Socializing has been limited to chosen and very special friends. I have been on a spree of declining invites. What I have got is lot of contentment and at the end of the day, that is what matters. Today was a cosy dinner with friends.
