Guruji's Knowledge Sheet: Dedication & Commitment

Just like you run out of fuel in the car and you have to refill it again and again, in the same way your dedication and commitment runs out in the course of time and it needs constant renewal!

You have to dedicate and rededicate again and again.

Often people take their dedication for granted and then the mind starts demanding or complaining. When dedication is not complete, it leads to grumbling and complaints.

Total dedication brings enormous enthusiasm, zeal, trust, and challenge, and does not leave any room for ego.

Guruji's knowledge sheet: Perfect Balance!
“Life needs to be a perfect balance between sound and silence, between dynamic activity and stillness, between being funny and jovial, and then being serious. If one aspect is missing, life is incomplete. If you are only serious, and not funny, then it’s not complete. If you are only funny, you become superficial. You are not deep. Silence is our ability to switch between them, this is most important.

{Knowledge Sheet} Subject: "When you are filled with Divine love, then there is no desire for liberation nor sadness due to bondage "

Women were barred from the knowledge of Yoga and Mantra in the past. Even today some institutions continue this practise. What is the reason behind this?

Sri Sri: It is not clear where exactly the practise discontinued. In the ancient India from a long time women would use Janeyu.

Acharya gives knowledge, and a Guru gives diksha. Diksha means the height of awareness and intelligence, and not information. A Guru does not simply stuff you with knowledge, but He kindles life force in you. What happens in a Guru’s presence? You become more alive. Every cell in your body becomes more alive. Guru invokes and awakes the intelligence, not just the intellect. The pinnacle of intellect is intelligence.

Sri Sri's statement on Aung San Suu Kyi's release :
“Aung San Suu Kyi symbolizes the values of non-violence, democracy and freedom of expression. She represents the spiritual strength of Asia and has demonstrated how love and pro-active acceptance can conquer all odds. Her release is a welcome step and brings fresh hope to the younger generation.
