Guruji answers few questions

Do you know what December means? It means Dush-Ambar - the 10th month. Similarly, November means - Nav-Ambar is the 9th month. similarly September is Sapth-Ambar. March - it means to march - the first month :D
Sanskrit is the only language to signify meanings for a month! All the kids today, you have learnt something new today - did you all know this??? (the children said - no) you all go back home and ask your parents do you know what December means :D they will blink at you :D time is connected with the movement of the planets.
The flag in Mongolia has the sun the moon and fire drawn on it. Even the stories star off as "Once upon a time when Sumeru was a small mountain and the the ocean was a lake....."
(Then a priest of the Parsi community who was a guest in today's satsang also spoke briefly)

So any questions???

Q) Who made "guruji"?
Guruji: From the moment you called me that!

Q) (This was a question that came online from an Argentinian girl) What do i do - my family doesn't support my lifestyle. This reduces my prana/energy levels etc.
Guruji: Have patience. What kind of support do you need from them? Are they not letting you eat what you want or in what way? You should learn to agree to disagree. Different people have different thoughts and ideologies - it doesn't matter if they don't agree with you and neither is it necessary that you agree with them. It is important that you be with them and NOT lose your smile. You save your mind and then save others mind if possible. Don't forget the power of your intentions. It changes people and things. It happens.

Q) How to handle the emotional imbalance during the teenage years?
Guruji: Why do you want to handle emotional stress??? You got angry and upset so what? you got angry and then became fine. See in your own life number of times you didn't get what you want then cried then got back to life.
So the first way is to be aware of your own experiences.
the second way is to know you have the strength and power to overcome these obstacles.
the third is pranayama and meditation and kriya - all the practices.
there is no fourth way! :D

Q) (this little boy asks) Where does god stay?
Guruji: ooooooooh!!! when you grow up a little bit then you'll know where he stays :) (the boy says - i see him in you) guruji says - i see him in you too!

Q)
Guruji: Yes, every action has some good element and bad element to it. you name any one profession to me and i'll tell you both aspects to it.
Doctor??? ok - you all think doctor is a noble profession right? Once a lady came to me and said - Guruji I am a psychiatrist please bless me to have at least 4 patients a day!
Education??? teaching is noble isn't it? but a teacher can only teach when there is ignorance in a student. if everyone were born enlightened would this be of any value? so see how a teacher is thriving on the ignorance of someone.
Milk is good? yes. But if you take that in excess - it's not.
Vitamins are good? yes. But if you take that in excess - it's not.
Poison is good? No??? who said it's not? Ask the doctors/pharmacists. How many doctors here???? Poison is used to save lives isn't it?? (Yes)
So there we go - Milk can kill you and Poison saves you. What do we say?
That s why it is so important to relax and see life from the larger scale. So if you kill/clean cobwebs is it good or bad??? if you leave the cobwebs and the spider bites you and you fall ill is it good or bad???
there is a certain cleanliness that should be observed and it is ok to take certain corrective measures time to time. That's why we should do the Panchmaha yagya. Just you very existence is enough t kill so many things around you. With ever breath in and out you are killing. Just digesting food also does that. You don't need to actually do something to cause harm - just your very existence does it. That's why the Panchmaha yagya is done where you contribute to nature. You do some acts of kindness. This way to take care of the harm you have done knowingly or unknowingly.
That's what Krishna says in the Bhagwad Gita to Arjuna - O Arjuna! Foolish is the man who thinks he is killing or being killed. He is just being part of it.
And this is what the 3rd law of Thermodynamics states.- Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. it can only be transferred from one state to another. similar with matter it just changes form.

Q) I have a fear of speaking in public - what do i do?
Guruji: You just spoke! (the boy stood up and said - that's because you are in front of me now) Do you feel fear now? (no guruji) that's it - over! you are being watched all over the world :)

Q) what inspires and what inhibits on the path of spirituality?
Guruji: That you should tell me :) Am i not inspiring enough? (of course you are guruji) then what inhibits (sometimes on the field nothing seems correct...) sometime i shake the branches/pillar to see if they are strong :) :) (loud applause from everyone)

Q) Today there was a bomb blast in Varanasi Guruji :( What do we do about terrorism?
Guruji: We need a strong resolve to tackle this. (For those who saw HIM today - he was very measured and thoughtful for a few seconds before he spoke - almost like he closed his eyes and went to varanasi and saw the scene there and came back again) Today terrorism is in so many different forms and we have to stand united to fight this. And this requires a strong administration t tackle this issue. India is stuck in between the red terrorism and Jihad terrorism It is so unfortunate this is the case. We have to do everything possible to eradicate this school of thought from the roots itself. Unfortunately this movement is also gaining ground in India. Today even Pakistan is suffering - there are bomb blasts.

Q) How many Karma's do you burn/take on yourself from us?
Guruji: Light doesn't need to fight with darkness. When light enters - darkness cannot exist. If a room has been dark from 20 years it doesn't take another 20 years for it to be lit. Open the window/door/switch on the light and in a fraction is it lit. Darkness isn;t an entity in itself - it's just the absence of light.
Darkness has no existence and truth has no extinction.
The more you move towards light - that much more darkness goes away from you.

Q) How can one see rest in action and action in rest?
Guruji: When you go into meditation. Then you get the Naishkarma siddhi. all just happens and you are witness. When you sleep the body is active - and that's why babies sleep so much. 12-14 hrs and the body is growing.
When work is a lot and yet everything is going well you feel like you are doing nothing. How many of you have felt this?? (I raised both my hands :D :D)

Q) 2 years into AoL but yet i am addicted to materialistic thing - either alcohol or physical attractions. What do i do to get out of this?
Guruji: Watch your peers/friends and companions. They'll tell you - Arre! come on just one more "peg" today and things like that.
No - that won't do. Art of Living cannot do this for you. You need to take a resolve and strong intention. Art of Living gives you the way and techniques to save yourself but if you yourself don't do it - nothing can save you.

Q) It's easy to give you praise and share/say good things - but negativity how can i surrender and give you that?
Guruji: In this moment you are free. In the present moment you are innocent. Right now there is no past and whatever past was there is over - gone. Wake up.
You want to wake up? (Yes) - ok - let's do a wake up meditation NOW.

And we did the meditation and it was time to come back home!

{Daily Sutra} Subject: Self Realization
The desire to have self realization - This is the highest desire, the only one worth pursuing. Whether you acknowledge this or not, everyone has come to this planet with this desire. If you have recognized this it’s very good.

{Knowledge Sheet} Subject: You are a child of nature & nature loves you

Q: Guruji, the way I feel so connected to you, do you feel the same?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: More than that. You know, connection means that there is a difference. I don’t feel connected for I don’t feel the difference.
