My hand painted Sari

When I was a kid teenager- 13/14 year, I had hand painted a Sari for my mom to gift to her. She wore it for these many years and yet kept it with utmost care and cherished what her daughter had hand painted for her. Recently, she gave it back to me and said, now you wear your own hand painted Sari. I took this Sari with me on my trip to Chennai and wore it there.

It is amusing, how people prefer to wear swanky dresses on their vacations and trips. I go reverse. These are the times when my Saris come out of their closets. I am not one person, who finds saris uncomfortable or difficult to manage or difficult to tie. I love my cotton Saris. They are very comfortable and manageable and I have no hassle managing them the whole day. In fact, in Delhi, I cannot be so simply clad.

So here is my hand painted Sari

Necklace: Bought from Chitra. This is the link to this particular necklace.
