Daniel Trenner's extended family home

Daniel Trenner, my true mentor of tango, has a large family home in Florence MA, where he hosts guest travelers for intensive personalized dance training. Apprentices like me, stay here. I stay withTangueras like me. He calls it alternative extended family home. For me it is Gurukul. You can combine classes, and practice at a beautiful local studio, with a home stay at a local B&B, all just minutes walking from my house. Everything is located within the few blocks that are the center of Florence, one of the nicest small towns in America, with stores, restaurants, and amenities. We are 45 minutes from Bradley International Airport (Hartford/Springfeild), 2 minutes by car to downtown Northampton, 15 mins. from Amherst, an hour from Great Barrington, and 2 hours from Boston. The Connecticut River Valley is a beautiful setting with mountains, lakes, rivers, and plenty of hiking and
scenic attractions.
As a teacher, he has been so nice to me. He made this wonderful vegan salad for me today. We made it together and ate it together. With me, he also had vegan meal. With me, he has also started eating small portions. We had trained all morning even on Sunday and then got hungry. So this is what we made.

Chopped bell peppers, tomatoes, coriander, vegan cheese.

We stepped out to pluck fresh kale.

View outside the home.

On the right, you can see the studio, where I train.

That is the studio.

My salad, with pine nuts, avocado.

For dressing, he mixed freshly made Almond butter.

with olive oil

vinaigrette.

salt and pepper

Added to the salad and tossed.

And we had lunch together.

Happy. Enjoying my yum salad. Am back to training.
