Kaudulla National Park: Sri Lanka

In my previous post, I mentioned about an Elephant Safari. It was so nice going on jeep and watching wild elephants in the wild life sanctuary amidst nature. We had to go through woods, then we came to a large expanse of land and breathtaking view of nature. There were beautiful birds to be watched. There was a one week old baby elephant too. Generally only female elephants are in groups along with their little ones. The male elephants do not stay in groups. They roam around alone and come to the females only during mating season. It was nice to see them continuously eating grass. Our jeeps went close to them but maintained a safe distance. It was an experience of a lifetime. While in Sri Lanka, you MUST come to this national park.
