Nubra Valley, Leh

As described in the previous post here, I drove for 7 hours (very gruelling drive) through Khardongla pass to reach Nubra valley. We started at 9 am and reached at 4 pm.  The roads were bad and we had to stop at many places.
In Nubra, I stayed at Hunder resort. Nubra is known for sand dunes and double hump camels. You can roam around on sand dunes, get a camel ride, see some trees in bloom and that is about it. The capital of Nubra is Diskit. There is very beautiful Diskit Monastery that I visited next day.
No doubt, it is a very picturesque place- calm and serene but the long journey is tiring.
