I do not like embroidery on sarees. Definitely not the sequins and zardozi kinds. Subtle kasuti, kashmiri embroidery, bullion stitch done with hand and phulkari are good. I have even been avoiding some gorgeous kanthas that I am tempted to buy. They look too busy.
Hand-painted sarees are exquisite. They are a work of art. They are priceless emotions and eternally draped beauties. I got mine done especially by an artist. It depicts Lord Krishna with his beloved Radha. The dual colours/ half and half make it extra special.
