Las Ramblas in Barcelona is approximately 1.2 kilometres long with Port Vell (near the cruise port terminal) at the Southern most end and Plaça Catalunya at the northern most end.
If you have your back to Port Vell and you are looking up towards Catalunya along the Ramblas on your left hand side is the Raval area and on your right-hand side is the Barri Gotic (or Gothic Quarter).Port Vell (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈpɔrd ˈbeʎ], literally in English 'Old Harbour') is a waterfront harbour in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, and part of the Port of Barcelona.
The tiny bag you see in my hand in the picture below is of cute jewelry that I picked up on this trip. Will soon be wearing and showing on the blog. That is why I am grinning and am so happy.
The W hotel is seen from here.
This is how the tourist guides there lead you and show you around.
